Mayan Fire Ceremony

The fire ceremony is an offering to the great Ajaw spirit to ask him for his protection of our Higher Self, our family or our community. It is also an opportunity to receive visions of the future through him, in addition to thanking him for all his blessings.

The fire ceremonies is made with basic elements, some of their names can not be translated to English language as they come from the native language: Sugar, ensarte, palitos, pombola, incenses, seeds, herbs, sacred woods, copal, ocote (pine tree sticks). In special occasions additional elements might be added to this list: Corn, cacao, cuilco, panela, Tabaco, cinnamon, pumpkin seeds, flowers different colors depends on the location…

This ceremony is very special in our Mayan tradition. We begin the prayers in our native language. Is believed that the native tongue is able to connect with the DNA of the spirit of the lands, it is a form of poetry that interconnects with other native tongues of other ancient tribes invoking the sacred sites of our Mother Earth. We strongly believe we can communicate with Ajaw by using our raxpom burning (white copal) and praying too.

A fire ceremony usually takes place at the specific request of a person and takes place around that person. Offerings to the spirits are made in his name. It is an ancestral way of addressing spirits and through them, the Great Spirit.

SENSe & Neurosciences Conference

Our modern society seems unable to meet the need for visceral SENSE specific to human beings. Researchers observe an epidemic of ill-being in the West: pandemic of burnout, depression, absenteeism, presenteeism, addiction, debt and chronic anxiety.

Due to our consumer society, its cult of distraction, we now exist connected to anonymity behind our screens but, disconnected and alone, together.

To rekindle the stars in a disenchanted model of society, deprived of the magic of symbolism, unifying values and collective rituals that bind people together, we can nourish our neurology and imbue our existence with more meaning.

  • How can we train our brains and strengthen the neurological circuits of wonder, deep satisfaction, joy of life and human warmth?
  • What are the neurotransmitters of happiness and how to control them?
  • How do we find what nourishes us from within when everything else is gone?
  • How to draw on a purpose and values that lifts us up?
  • How to create moments of verticality where time stands still?
  • How ritual and intention can shift us from the profane to the sacred?
  • How to unite symbolism and meaning: strike the unconscious and capture the imagination?
  • How to create the micro-moments of connection and make sure that the current flows?

Human beings can only make sense once they have experienced connectivity to greater than themselves. All this can happen once one connects with the living, with nature, with our soul, with significant human beings, with our values, and with our life mission.

Nietzsche said: “With a WHY strong enough, you can endure any HOW”.  He who has a reason for living is propelled to overcome any ordeal.

Let’s bring more meaning into our lives.  Let’s train our neurological compass to point to this big WHY, the magnetic north that gives direction, meaning and wisdom to our lives.  Let’s discover our CONNECTION and RE-CONNECTION rituals.

An expert in Performance Psychology and Emotional Intelligence, Isabelle has given over 1,500 presentations in over 1,000 organizations (in Canada and Europe). Her talks are filled with lessons about the latest advances in neuroscience and the neurobiology of emotions.

Breathwork

Breathwork or pranayama is often defined as breath control.

Prana which means “vital energy” or “life force” is the force that exists in all things. Although prana is closely related to the air we breathe, it is more than that. Thus, pranayama should rather be seen as a practice influencing the flow of prana in the “nadis” or energy channels of the energy body (Pranamaya kosha), a central concept of Ayurveda and Yoga. In Vedantic philosophy, prana is the notion of a life force that sustains the life energy of living things, an energy comparable to the Chinese notion of Qi.

Then, Yama means “control”. Thus, pranayama techniques provide the method by which the life force can be rebalanced or increased in order to go beyond its normal limits or limits and attain a higher state. They are often practiced to improve mental, physical and spiritual well-being.

During this session, you will control the movement of these vital energies in your body in order to drive both an increase in your vitality and a feeling of deep calm.

Sacred Psychology Conference

By rediscovering the archetypal world within, we create a partnership that allows us to grow just as the gods and goddesses within us do.

Jean Houston

Sacred psychology reconciles our need for personal growth with our thirst for transcendence.

In this lecture, you will learn the fundamentals of this deep psychology. I vulgarize the intellectual bases of Carl Gustav Jung, Jean Houston and Joseph Campbell.

In short, sacred psychology tries to answer the question of all the mystery schools: how to put the “I” at the service of the great “Self”? In other words, how to unite with our sacred essence and avoid anything that could destroy this divine union.

  • UNDERSTANDING THE BASICS OF SACRED PSYCHOLOGY

Yoga Fundamentals for Everyday Life

The 8 limbs of yoga, or Ashtanga, are eight steps essentially acting as guidelines on how to live a life filled with deep meaning and aligned with our life intentions. t is a way of life that offers much more than the simple physical practice of yoga, which we generally know in the Western world. These steps serve as a prescription for moral and ethical conduct and self-discipline; they direct attention to one’s own health; and they help us to recognize the spiritual aspects of our nature. At each of the stages, we feel the benefits on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.

Carlos will present the 8 limbs in an interview, as well as practical applications and examples in everyday life. The goal is to incorporate these principles at all times, practicing them both on and off the yoga mat. A regular practice of Ashtanga is an offering to oneself, for a return to oneself. Some of the principles discussed during this conversation will be practiced during the all-level Ashtanga Yoga session with Carlos.
